Wrapping up the year! December 9, 2007

As 2007 winds down, I have been left to ponder just how much has changed. Having made such drastic changes makes me wish for things to go back to where they were, but grateful for where I am now. I moved from the only home I really knew, Ontario Canada, to Southern California. This meant changes for the kids too, having to deal with not having me close by, but they are now in their young adult stage of life and now is the time for me to spread my wings. Ahhh the almost empty nest! With the move, next came marriage in March, then adapting to sunshine everyday. But the last four months have shown me what happens in life as we get older. Death and lots of it, so much so that it has numb me. Four good friends of my husbands, his older sister and lastly, my mother.
Her’s was so unexpectedly that I urge everyone now to get checked with your doctor for cholesterol and scanned from head to toe for any anorisms. She had two large ones that took her life. With this came to the realization on her feelings for me and my kids. This left me angry, sad, mainly because my dad is not without his partner, and outraged, because she revealed her true nature. I was her oldest, yet her least favorite, but I knew this.
So what do I do?
I move on and cherish my children and let them know that. I live my life and learn to deal with the rejection and that I couldn’t get her acceptance of me.
My, I guess this would be my resolution for 2008, is to take life by the horns and make the best of it. As long as I accept me and accept who I am, everyone else can either accept me or not. If not then I feel they are missing out. As for my goals, I will be getting busy on a website and with my writing business which includes copywriting, my fiction writing and preparing to buy a house. As the next year progresses, I will be putting forth thoughts to make you think on how production you are now and what you can do to make your life better, whether its career wise, or personally. I am going to motivate not only myself, but you too. So watch for this!
This holiday season, love yourself, your family and your friends, this includes your pets too. Enjoy the true meaning of the holidays, not just what the commercialization of it. Make ammends with those that mean the most to you and cut ties with anyone that isn’t willing to accept you. Surround yourself with positive people and surroundings. Take the clutter not only out of your home, but your heart.
And last, don’t drink and drive. Celebrate, but take care.
